Play A Developer - Krome Studios
Here at Pixel Hunt we make it our mission to support Australian games developers, and we think you should too. So rather than donating a million bucks to some random development house, why not simply start up that copy of Scene It that you have lying about and add the gamertags of some of the Krome Studios staff.
That's right, they'll be online this Sunday 23rd November, ready to go head to head with you lot as part of Microsoft's Game With Developers promotion. Who will be the movie trivia King/Queen?
Simply start SceneIt? Box Office Smash and add one of the following tags:
Clara Reeves - Producer - claracon Kevin Burfitt - Executive Producer - Zaphus Robert Lever - Assistant Producer - Kaos dogg Michael White - Lead Programmer - Kelthorn Steve Scott - Senior Programmer - iPixel David Little - Programmer - DELittle Julian Cram - QA Project Lead - FunkyJ AU Robert Littler - QA - Rabass H2P Wade Higgins - QA - Ectoplasm H2P
After the event, Krome would love to hear all about how you went.
We'll be posting recaps from gamers all across the country. Send us an email (xlmail@microsoft.com) with the subject "GWD — Scene It? Box Office Smash," and be sure to include your Gamertag and home town!
That's right. All of our writers are currently busy scribbling away - and I still have a pile of games that need reviewing.
Think you've got what it takes to write an awesome review? Well, simply email a sample to me (addy below). It can be something you've made up or even something that you've had published.
I am looking for excellent written English, full of personality, knowledge of the gaming industry and - most importantly - an analytical eye for what you are reviewing.
We can probably do with about two or three new writers, so if you hop to it now you should be in with a good chance. Of course, all work done for Pixel Hunt is unpaid (we do this out of love) but I can offer you copies of the games that you will be reviewing - and those will be yours to keep*
Email your samples to dylanb(at)pixelhunt(dot)com(dot)au.
In an interesting marketing move, Microsoft has announced that from today, until the release of Gears of War 2 (22 days), it will be giving away over 2 million Microsoft points to gamers that plug in and play Gears of War multiplayer.

I'm actually considering going and grabbing a cheap copy of the game myself, but there's just so many games coming out next week!! Never know, I may see you online.
We unleash one of our writers onto a city run by a totalitarian government hell-bent on squashing the will of each and every citizen. Click through for his full report.
Call us suckers, but we always hope against hope that the latest game tied to a major film release will actually be quite good.
So many times in the past we've been disappointed, but today's gaming market is becoming increasingly competitive, to the point where the movie-tie-in stinker may actually be dying a slow but sure death.
The new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, is looming, and so too is a game based on the story ties between this upcoming release and the previous Bond film, Casino Royale.
Click through for our thoughts on whether this game will join the ranks of movie-tie-in bombs or survive the flaming ring of critique as a decent game in its own right.
It promises to be bigger, badder and... oh wait, this isn't Gears of War 2 is it? Nope, despite the fact that both titles will be battling it out next month, Resistance 2 certainly looks like it will be its own individual beast.

Yep, word has come through from Microsoft that Cliffy B's epic (geddit?) second game for the Gears of War series has in fact gone Gold!
Of course, we still have a month or so to wait for the game, but it's great to know that it's entering production and is well on track to make it to stores near you on time.
For some of you, GTA IV is old news. For others, you've been patiently waiting for the PC release, sweating any time your console friends start to speak about the story... "No spoilers, please!"
Well, here's something to excite (or frustrate) you even further - a brand new PC trailer for the game from Rockstar.
