Funtime Friday: Anticipation
Like this? (No Votes Yet)It only occurred to me recently that the sequel to one of my favourite games of the last few years is due to reach our sunburnt shores within the next fortnight.
Being October, the calm before the storm in terms of game releases, I’d completely forgotten all about it, until I saw this.

It’s a still from one of the trailers for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, which from this point forward shall be re-classified as Indy 5.
It’s been said before, but Uncharted 2 was the Indiana Jones movie George Lucas should have produced, but clearly no longer possesses the talent to do.
There was the right mix of fantasy-relic shenanigans, flirting and leaping from one train to another. It was game of the year for most, and it’s one of the few games of the modern generation that I’ll happily replay.
Part of the secret is that you can buy weapons on repeat playthroughs, which is fantastic because it means you can fly through the game with the crossbow, a glorious one-shot kill gun that makes the game ten times more enjoyable.
So with Uncharted 3 just around the corner, that’s exactly what I’m going to do: fall in love with Drake, shoot everything in the face with poison darts and then subsequently hate him for not hooking up with Chloe more.
Stupid blondes.

You mean Indy 4. Because obviously there was no other Indiana Jones movie after The Last Crusade.
I was praying Dark Souls would arrive today, but it was not to be. Luckily, a problem with my internet has been sorted out so I hope to get reacquainted with my old friends Red Orchestra 2 and League of Legends over the weekend.
I’m dividing my time this weekend between an essay (fun!) and Arkham Asylum. I picked up my CE of Arkham City the other day but I really want to play through the other one firs. Not sure how much longer I can last, I just to want to chill with Mr. Freeze
